Arkansas State University - Beebe

Arkansas State University - Beebe:

Arkansas State University - Beebe students annually receive scholarships through the generosity of 24 private memorial trusts, endowments and foundations, as well as two independently-funded community scholarships. Established by or in memory of former ASUB administrators, professors and alumni, these funds collectively bestow more than $26,000 worth of scholarship aid to reward students in a wide array of programs for their leadership, academic achievement, or program success.

ASU - Beebe's Major Donors program has honored and recognized its major donors by dedicating and naming facilities throughout our Dr. Eugene McKay Student Center for those outstanding supporters including Wal-Mart, John Deere, Entergy Arkansas, Regions Bank and our community partners including Centennial Bank, 1st Security Bank, Beebe 1st Baptist Church, Westbrook Funeral Home, Brenda Shurley, Dr. Ruth Couch, Mr. Garth Martin, Mr. Jim Wooten and Cathy Eoff.

A development drive is currently underway seeking to complete the dedication of the remaining student-centered specialized and on-going learning facilities in the McKay Student Center. The target for this initiative is $500,000, which will complete and dedicate spaces for the University Bookstore, a student recreation room, a group tutoring lab, an audio/video learning lab, and a student testing center.

In addition, ASU - Beebe's "Sharing the Love for State Hall" campaign is also ongoing. Major donors such as R.V. Powell, Sr., Hazel Dickey, First Electric Cooperative Corp., Eoff & Associates Realty, Inc. and First Security Bank have committed to support renovations and modernization of the university's oldest administration building, opened in 1936. This campaign continues with naming opportunities remaining for seven spaces in the complex.
